Facilities

Home of the Huskies

Our athletes benefit from the use of several state-of-the-art facilities on our campus including but not limited to 5 athletic fields, 2 gymnasiums, 9 tennis courts, a temperature controlled ice rink, a brand-new wellness center and a 250-acre mountain. These are the parts of campus where huskies find their grit and their glory.

Jacobson Arena

Opened in 2016, Jacobson Arena is a state-of-the-art, fully enclosed and temperature-regulated hockey arena with the following benefits:
  • Men’s and women’s locker rooms
  • Warming area and lobby overlooking rink
  • Spectator stands seat 200

Health and Wellness Center

  • 3600 sqft exercise room
  • 1660 sqft cycling room with 20 spin bikes
  • 1860 sqft multi purpose room
  • 20' x 70' indoor turf
  • Weighted drive sleds for turf training
  • Slide boards for hockey training

Field House

A 120’ x 164’ clear span building with state-of-the-art composition sports floor including:
  • Longitudinal NCAA basketball court
  • Tennis and volleyball courts
  • Bleachers to seat 600 spectators and mezzanine for viewing games
  • Indoor practice areas for baseball, football, lacrosse and soccer as well as golf and batting cages

Frederick Smith Gymnasium

Two comprehensive weight training and cardiovascular rooms that rival college and professional gyms, with free weight and Hammerstrength equipment, plus a traditional full-size gym which includes the following:
  • Regulation size high school basketball court with hardwood floor
  • Bleachers to seat 300 spectators
  • Men’s and women’s locker rooms
  • Visiting team locker rooms
  • Coaches’ and officials’ locker room
  • Fully equipped training room staffed by 2 certified / licensed trainers

Five Outdoor Playing Fields

Kennedy Field

Resurfaced in 2020, our marquee synthetic turf Kennedy Field is our showcase for fall and spring sports and evening games under the lights.

Palazzi and Lower Fields

A spectator amphitheater lawn overlooks The Lower Field, The Gnerre Baseball Diamond and the softball field right in the heart of campus. And, just a short walk from campus, Palazzi Field hosts practices and games on busier days.

Updated Locker Rooms

The men's and women's locker room have recently been renovated with updated with new equipment to ensure our athletes have a quality space to store their equipment and prepare for games. Updates include:
  • Fast drying lockers with integrated benches
  • Shock absorbing, scuff resistant rubber floor
  • LED lighting

Burleigh Mountain

Burleigh, our own 250-acre mountain, is just a mile from campus and offers an excellent environment for camping, hiking, and team-building exercises complete with a 50-foot Alpine Tower and ropes course.

Bicknell Tennis Courts

Nine modern tennis courts offer ample space for singles or doubles play overlooked by a newly built viewing patio to watch the action.

Cross Country & Mountain Bike Trails

Ten miles of cross country trails begin near our athletic fields. Our mountain biking trails are on the Blood Property adjacent to campus.

Off-Campus Facilities

Equestrian

Just a 15-minute ride from campus is our equestrian facility which includes stables, and indoor and outdoor riding rings used for instructional riding as well as preparation for dressage competitions.

Golf

Use of Laconia Country Club for instructional and competitive golf.

Skiing and Snowboarding

Dedicated trails expressly for New Hampton School ski and snowboard training at Loon Mountain Resort and Ragged Mountain.
