Welcome to the Parents Association

The Parents Association

The purpose of the Parents Association is to engage parents in the life of New Hampton School. The Parents Association offers on- and off-campus programming, activities, and social opportunities for parents, in order to strengthen and support Husky Nation. All parents and guardians of current students and alumni/ae of the school are members of the Parents Association.
Dear Husky Parents,

On behalf of the New Hampton School Parents Association, welcome to New Hampton!

My husband and I have been a part of the extended New Hampton School community since 2018, when our eldest child enrolled as a Freshman. Our second enrolled the following year, and since then, both of our children—each very different from the other—have found a home and endless opportunities for academic and personal growth at the school. I hope your student will have a similarly positive journey.

To support my children, as well as their friends, classmates, teammates, and housemates, I became involved as a volunteer with the Parents Association. Together we strengthen the extended New Hampton School community through service and other activities that benefit New Hampton. As parent volunteers, we work to make some of the best parts of the school year possible.

I look forward to meeting each and every one of you. In the meantime, if you have thoughts or ideas about ways to grow the Parents Association, please be in touch with me at parents@newhampton.org.

With best wishes and gratitude,

Kelly M. Hamill P’22, ’23

Ways to Be Involved

Team or Program Parents: coordinate celebratory meals after athletic events or at the end of a sports season or artistic production.

Parent Agents:
make calls and send emails to promote the The Fund for New Hampton and the financial well-being of the school.

Parent Ambassadors: support the work of the Admission office by promoting the school through conversations with other parents at admissions events or hosting prospective parent receptions.

Parent Class Reps: are knowledgeable about how the school operates and can point other parents in their students' class to the school personnel who can help when the occasional question arises.

Build your own volunteer experience: brainstorm and coordinate a project week trip, guest lecture in the classroom, offer work experience to students or young alumni/ae or volunteer at the annual Exam Bake.

Don't Miss a Moment

We update our Flickr account throughout the week with pictures of our student's adventures. In the classroom, the art studio or on the fields, we don't want you to miss a moment.
