Program Mission and Vision

The New Hampton School Men’s Lacrosse program develops young men with sound moral character, leadership, and an understanding of the value of committing to a cause greater than oneself. Young men will graduate from the New Hampton School Men’s Lacrosse program prepared to compete at the NCAA level and have the skill set to be selfless leaders in all areas of their lives thereafter.

A highly competitive regular season schedule will feature fifteen contests (subject to change) against some of the strongest lacrosse programs in New England. In addition to the Northern New England Lacrosse League rivals, the Huskies will face non-league opponents Rivers School, Phillips Andover, St. Sebastian’s, Phillips Exeter, Pingree School, and St. Paul’s School.

Ryan Henry

Bio
Head Coach

Coach Henry comes to New Hampton School after serving as head lacrosse coach, assistant disciplinarian, and mathematics teacher at Jesuit High School in Tampa, FL. During his three seasons (2016-2019) at Jesuit, the varsity lacrosse program earned an overall record of 46-14, winning two District Championships and appearing in two Regional Finals, an accomplishment the program had never seen. Additionally, three players earned US Lacrosse All American honors. Coach Henry was awarded US Lacrosse Coach of the Year for 2019 upon completing his tenure at the helm of the Jesuit lacrosse program.

Prior to Jesuit, Coach Henry started his teaching and coaching career at Trinity-Pawling School in Pawling, NY, and attended Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH, where he majored in mathematics and captained the Hawks in their 2011 campaign. Coach Henry is originally from Norwood, MA, and graduated from Norwood High School in 2006, helping establish the Norwood High School boy’s lacrosse program in 2002. He was inducted into the Norwood High School Athletics Hall of Fame in the Fall of 2023.

Game #10 – New Hampton 14, Proctor 10

The Huskies captured an important Lakes Region victory with a 14–10 win over Proctor. New Hampton controlled much of the contest with strong play on both ends before Proctor mounted a late push in the final minutes. Despite the pressure, the Huskies responded with composure and toughness to close out the game and secure the win.

New Hampton delivered a dominant performance in an 18–2 win over Tilton, officially securing a spot in the Lakes Region League Tournament. The Huskies played with great energy and balance throughout the game, receiving contributions from all areas of the roster. It was a complete team effort and an important milestone for the program.

In a physical and defensive battle, New Hampton earned a hard-fought 6–3 victory over Andover. The Huskies were outstanding defensively from start to finish, consistently shutting down Andover’s offensive opportunities. Tommy Meany anchored the effort with stellar play in goal, helping lead New Hampton to one of its toughest wins of the season.

The Huskies put together arguably their strongest performance of the season in a 9–6 victory over Pingree, earning the program’s first win against Pingree since 2018. New Hampton played with discipline, intensity, and confidence throughout the contest, executing at a high level in all phases of the game. The victory set the stage for an exciting finish to the regular season with two key Lakes Region matchups remaining.

New Hampton suffered a tough 18–6 loss to a talented Holderness squad in a matchup against one of New England’s top prep school programs. The Huskies struggled to find consistency and were unable to match Holderness’ pace and execution throughout the game. Despite the disappointing result, New Hampton hopes to use the experience as motivation and would welcome another opportunity to compete against Holderness in the playoffs.

New Hampton earned a memorable 11–9 victory over Exeter, marking the program’s first win over Exeter since 2019. The Huskies showed poise throughout the game, repeatedly answering Exeter’s comeback attempts with timely plays on both ends of the field. The night was made even more special as Noah Stevens recorded his 200th career point in a milestone performance.

Despite falling behind by four goals, the Huskies showed impressive resilience by clawing their way back to tie the game in the fourth quarter.
