    Favorite teacher and why?

“My favorite teacher at New Hampton is Mrs. Frame. This past school year I was in her Honors Chemistry class, and I struggled quite a bit. Although I had a challenging time, Mrs. Frame spent time with me after class to help me with the material. I will always appreciate the extra effort she made towards me so I could succeed in her class.”

    Favorite teacher and why?
"I have to say that this is a very difficult question to answer because every teacher here at New Hampton is amazing. This was especially evident during the pandemic when each teacher was caring and supportive which moved me rather hard. I really want to give them my most sincere appreciation and each of them deserves to be titled “My Favorite Teacher."

What do you think differentiates NHS from other schools?
"When I was touring New Hampton back in December 2016, the one thing everyone talked about was the sense community and belonging. I was told that no one walks around with their head down and alone. I was skeptical when I first heard this but low and behold on the first day, people I didn’t know said hi or introduced themselves. I felt welcomed right away as a new student."

    Favorite teacher and why?
"I have a few favorite teachers on campus, but one of them is Mr. Churchill. He is someone that has always kept an eye on me at New Hampton since freshmen year. He always checks up on me when he thinks I could be having a hard time or just if I need anything. I love his family because they’re the sweetest and most hospitable to every student on campus."

    Favorite teacher and why?
"My favorite teacher at New Hampton School is Mr. Sampson. Even though I only had one class with him he was a very kind teacher and had a good sense of humor to keep the class attentive and active while still learning. Since having him as a teacher, I have built a strong relationship with him outside of the classroom."

What is your favorite New Hampton School memory?
"My favorite memory at New Hampton when I jumped into the pond with a group of friends right after a long and competitive game of volleyball. This is my favorite because it was one of my first nights at New Hampton and it showed me right from the start that New Hampton is a place where anyone can make friends and memories no matter who you are and where you come from."

What do you think differentiates New Hampton School from other schools?
"From my experience, New Hampton is different from other schools because of the people and community. This is the 3rd high school that I have attended, and it is the only one where I feel a strong sense of community. Everywhere I go on campus I know someone and can have a conversation with them. In the classroom teachers are very interested with what students have to say and build relationships with them as well."

What is your favorite New Hampton School memory?
"My favorite New Hampton School memory thus far isn’t some huge event. I find I have the best time when I talk to someone new in the student center or spend the weekends with my friends eating something from the Snack Bar. It’s the small events that make the best memories here at New Hampton School."

What is your favorite New Hampton School memory?
"My favorite NHS memory is arts day my freshman year. The day was filled with activities to do with your friends, and I chose dancing. I have never taken a single dancing class in my life, but I thought it would be fun. We practiced for the BIG show all day and we had so much doing it.  It was a bit embarrassing, but we all laughed about it."
