Huskies Win on Senior Night
The Huskies picked up a big win on Wednesday night as they celebrated the outstanding contributions of seniors Nellie MacDonald, Addyson Peel, Heidi Smith, Katie Usilton, and Danika Virgin.
New Hampton got the scoring started early with a cross from Gianna Young from the right wing to Brielle Lee on the far post who brought the ball down before firing her shot past the Lexington Christian Academy goalkeeper.
The Huskies would then double their lead on a corner kick from Heidi Smith to Addy Peel who one-timed her shot home into the back of the LCA net. Strong midfield play would help New Hampton control much of the first half before a great team goal started with a Zuri Jimenez pass through the backline to Casey Stores on the wing who then placed her cross in the path of Audra Custance who would muscle the ball over the line for New Hampton's third goal.
Danika Virgin and Casey Stores would combine in net for the shutout.
New Hampton hosts KUA on Saturday for their final regular season game of the season in an important Lakes Region League matchup.
