Huskies Win at Home

New Hampton played host to Gould Academy on Wednesday afternoon.

The Huskies got off to a strong start with an early goal from Adriana Romano-DiTella who received the pass from Audra Custance on the edge of the 18 before sending a shot from distance over the goalkeeper for the opener. Katie Usilton would then double her lead after picking up a turnover from the defense that she would send inside of the far post. Emma Labrie capped off a flurry of early goals with a driving run into the box that she was able to finish past the keeper despite defensive pressure.

Ava Perry would score her first of the day on an assist from Usilton before scoring again off of a pass from Casey Stores for Stores's team-leading fifth assist of the year. Clara Thompson would also get in on the scoring with her third goal of the year.

In the second half, Usilton would end the scoring with her second of the game off of a pass from Thompson on the edge of the 18-yard box.

Mackensie Mercier picked up her first shutout of the year in net for the Huskies to end the day with New Hampton taking home the 7-0 win.
