New Hampton Falls at Home
Thus Huskies took on a talented Brewster Academy side on Wednesday afternoon in another Lakes Region League matchup.
The two teams would both take a few minutes to settle into the game before playing a tightly contested first half. Each team would find chances to go forward but neither was able to get on the scoresheet before going into the half tied at 0-0.
Brewster would get on the board first after scoring early in the second half. New Hampton did their best to battle back with strong play going forward and great effort in the across the field. Several Huskies would have some of their strongest showings of the year as they looked for the equalizer. Despite outshooting the visitors 15-5 the Huskies would be unable to get on the board and would ultimately fall by a 0-1 scoreline for their first loss of the season.
New Hampton hits the road next week for a rematch of the game as they travel to Brewster to complete the home and away series.
