New Hampton School vs. Phillips Exeter Academy

New Hampton opened its season against a strong Phillips Exeter Academy team at Apple Hill Golf Course, falling 9–3 in a competitive first match of the year. Despite the loss, the Huskies had several strong performances and showed early signs of promise.
Ray MacDougall earned a decisive individual win, playing steady golf throughout the round and closing out his match 3 up with two holes to play. Drew Johnson also delivered a clutch performance, winning his match on the final hole by one. After dropping his individual match, Nick Cabana stayed focused and helped Johnson secure the best ball point, giving New Hampton its third point of the day.
Eli Arvidson and Colin Flanders also put together strong individual efforts despite coming up short in their matches. Overall, it was a solid opening test for the Huskies and a valuable starting point for the season ahead.
