The Huskies welcomed St. Paul’s to their home court for a hard-fought matchup that featured plenty of energy from the opening tip. The first half was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams answering each other’s runs. The Huskies stayed within striking distance and went into half time trailing by just four points.
St. Paul’s began to create separation midway through the second half, using their size and length to control the glass. Their rebounding advantage proved to be a key factor as they pulled ahead down the stretch.
Despite the result, the Huskies had strong individual performances on both ends of the floor. Asher finished with 9 points, Colin added 10 points, and Andrew led the team with 13 points. Phanuel’s defensive effort came up big as well, providing energy and toughness throughout the game.
The Huskies showed resilience and competitiveness against a physical opponent and will look to build on the positives as the season continues.
