The Huskies offense scores 11 runs on 12 hits and gets another solid pitching outing from Levi Fernandez.
The Huskies traveled to Wolfeboro, NH to take on the Brewster Academy Bobcats at Kingswood Regional High School on Saturday.

Right out of the gate, the Huskies were hitting the ball hard, but the Bobcats were able to make all the defensive plays that they needed.  Leading 2-0 going into the 6th inning, the Husky bats were finally able to break through with a big inning and found themselves with an 11-0 lead going into the bottom of the 6th, would eventually win in a mercy-rule victory 11-0.

Offensively, Ollie Quong continues to hit the ball hard and collected 3 more hits on the season and extended his hitting streak to 6 games in a row.  George Kavanaugh had a great day at the plate and also went 3 for 4 while Ollie Jenkins also had a good day at the plate collecting 2 hits.  As a team, the Huskies scored 11 runs on 12 hits.

The real story of the game, was sophomore Levi Fernandez who had his 2nd straight shutout pitching performance.  The right-hander threw 6 complete innings and only allowed 2 hits and did not allow a run while striking out 10 Bobcat batters and did not walk a single Brewster batter all game.  More impressive was that Levi only threw 70 total pitches while throwing 73% strikes.  He continues to pound the strike zone and keep the opposing hitters off balance while throwing 3 different pitches for strikes.

The win improves the Huskies record to 4-2 on the season.  New Hampton will play 2 games this coming week against a well coached Proctor Academy team.  Next game is Wednesday, April 22nd at Gnerre Field in New Hampton.  First pitch is slated for 2:00 pm.
