The Huskies traveled to Kimball Union for a Lakes Region league contest and were able to shut out the KUA Wildcats.
The New Hampton Huskies were led by a great pitching performance by sophomore Levi Fernandez who pitched a 7-inning complete game shutout to earn his first career varsity win.  Levi did a fantastic job keeping the KUA hitters off balance all game and finished the game with 7 innings pitched, allowing 0 runs on just 4 hits, walking just one batter, and striking out 8 KUA hitters.  More impressive was that Levi threw 70% strikes and started 19 of 26 batters off with a first pitch strike.

Offensively, the Huskies tallied 6 runs on 6 hits.  The Huskies got offensive production from many different hitters throughout the game.

The Huskies will take the field next when they host Vermont Academy at Gnerre Field on April 15th.  First pitch is slated for 3:30 pm.
