Huskies Fall to Newman

We made the trip down to Boston, MA to face off vs. Newman for the 4th time on the season in the NEPSAC AAA Semifinals.

 

Early on, we were executing offensively at a really high level. creating open looks, getting to the rim and sharing the ball. We struggled a little bit defensively in transition, but held them in check in the half court. Newman then went on a big run to extend the lead to 17. Over the final 5 minutes, we were able to cut it to 8 points at half.

 

In the second half, we just did not have any follow on either side. Newman's relentless offensive rebounding was too much for us to handle and then on the offensive end, we could not take care of the ball. Ultimately, it was not our day and our NEPSAC AAA season came to an end.

 

We had two in double digits: Chad Cook (20 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block) and Jayden Harrington (14 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal).
