Huskies Finish 7-7 in League

We made the trip down to Oakdale, Connecticut for our final regular season game against St. Thomas More.

 

We really struggled to guard the ball and St. Thomas More got hot from 3 to start the game, getting out to an early double digit lead. We had not individual pride in the way we guarded the ball and could not contain them in the full court. We found ourselves down 22 at half.

 

In the second half, we tried to make a run, but St. Thomas More responded every time. In the final 10 minutes though, we were able to get the lead all the way down to 13 with a shot from 3 to make it a 10 point game with 4 minutes to go. We showed grit late in the game and were able to end an overall poor game on a positive note.

 

We had three in double digits: Chad Cook (25 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist), Stetson Merritt (24 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists) and James Sanderson (12 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal).
