Huskies Redemption Tour Continues with Win vs Thayer

BROOKLINE, MA --

The Huskies entered their final tournament game riding high off their dominant 7–2 victory over Brooks School and with a clear goal in mind: to avenge their loss to Thayer Academy a few games ago. From the opening draw, it was clear this would be a tightly contested battle, with both teams trading chances and testing each other’s defenses and goalies. The Huskies struck first in the opening period, taking an early lead on a goal from Katie Usilton ’26 and setting the tone for the game. Thayer responded in the second, tying the game and keeping the Huskies on their toes. However, the Huskies pushed back in the third, scoring the go-ahead goal from Ella Fishcetti ’27 to reclaim the lead. Throughout the game, goaltender Elizabeth Vincent ’27 stood on her head, making key saves to preserve the lead and frustrate Thayer’s scoring efforts. With Vincent’s help, the Huskies secured a hard-fought victory, completing their redemption against a team that had previously beaten them. The win capped off their tournament with momentum and confidence, highlighting the team’s growth, resilience, and determination to finish strong heading into the holiday break.
