New Hampton School’s Studio Arts program invites students at every level—beginner, intermediate, and advanced—to explore their creativity through mediums such as photography, printmaking, ceramics, environmental art, and more. Students showcase their work in campus exhibitions and can submit pieces to competitions, awards, and scholarship opportunities.

Behind the Lens

From introductory classes to the intensive International Baccalaureate pathway, New Hampton’s photography program offers students meaningful opportunities to grow both technically and creatively. Courses explore the full spectrum of the medium—ranging from modern digital photography to historic processes—blending conceptual thinking with hands-on skill development.

Form, Sculpt, and Fire

Have you ever tried your hand at throwing clay? New Hampton School has a dedicated studio for students to learn the art of ceramics. Beginning with the elementary processes of hand-building through pinch pots, and coil and slab construction, progressing to wheel throwing, glaze mixing, and various firing processes, projects focus on both functional and sculptural ceramics.
