Tyler's Lydon's '15 driving lay-up with 1.2 seconds left gave New Hampton a dramatic 72-70 win over league foe Bridgton Academy. The first frame was controlled by the visiting Wolverines, who opened up a quick 8-0 margin and led by as many as 11 in the first half before the Huskies trimmed the lead to four at the break. A back and forth second half saw the Huskies take the lead several times, only for Bridgton to respond. Following a defensive stop, Bridgton tied the game at 70 on a lay-up with 7.2 seconds left. After a timeout, the Huskies found Lydon at the top of key. Lydon drove hard right and floated a leaning try off the glass to give the Huskies the deciding margin. Lydon led the Husky charge with 31 points, while John Crosby '15 added 15. The Huskies return to action on Friday night at home against league for Brewster Academy. Brewster was victorious in the team's first matchup of the season.
