Underclass Awards Recognize Academic Achievement and Citizenship

The School Community will spend most of next week celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2013, but Thursday evening provided pause to consider the wonderful passion that the Classes of 2014, 2015, 2016 have brought to their time in and out of the classroom this year as students, leaders, and contributors to the greater good of campus life and community. 

Head of School Andrew Menke offered some opening remarks before paving the way for Director of Studies Jennifer Berry to recognize award winners with Department Heads.

"It’s nearly impossible to distinguish everyone who contributes to the fabric of our learning community as there are so many ways, large and small, overt and quiet, that all of you have made a difference here, in and out of the classroom," Menke said.  "On behalf of all of the faculty and staff who have been so fortunate to live and learn with you this year, I want to say thank you for your commitment to the growth of the mind and the heart. Our goal for you, as a result of your experience here, is that this growth mindset develops into a lifetime pursuit."
