Dancers Perform at PSU Gala

New Hampton School dancers Sydney Frazier ’12, Menxing Yang ’12, Ava Donovan ’12, Irene Schultz ‘12 and Taylor Lacaillade ’14 were adjudicated and selected to perform works in Plymouth State University’s Dance Premier Gala on Saturday, February 4. The group performed “Night Creatures” choreographed by NHS Dance Director, René Martinez. Also selected to perform were “What Are Words,” choreographed and performed by Ava Donovan and “Fighting With Inner Conflict” choreographed and performed by Sydney Frazier.

The PSU Dance Premier was an all-day event in which New Hampton School dancers participated in four master classes along with other dancers from across New England. Master classes were taught by PSU faculty, as well as guest artists from Refractions Dance Collective, a New York City-based dance company. A number of members from the NHS community attended the event and came away impressed with the dancers' performance.

The Dance Program will stage its annual Winter Dance Concert on Friday, Feb. 24, at 6:30 pm and Saturday, Feb. 25, at 7:30PM
