New Hampton School is proud to announce that Dean P. Jacobson ’68 has been named the chairman of GO BEYOND: The Campaign for New Hampton School.
A member of the Board of Trustees since 2008, Dean will be play a critical role in steering fundraising efforts that will seek to reach out to the extended New Hampton School family at a defining time in the school’s history.
"We are thrilled to have Dean Jacobson as the campaign chair,” said New Hampton School Head of School Andrew Menke. “He brings a great deal of experience from the business world, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a fondness for the school that few can match. Dean has the necessary energy and dynamic personality to lead this historic campaign."
A three-sport athlete at NHS who matriculated to Colgate University and then earned his MBA from NYU, Dean has had extensive marketing experience in his professional career. He is currently President, CEO, and owner of BoDeans Baking Company in LeMars, Iowa. Before buying his own company in 2000, Dean was the CEO of Chicago Tissue Company and then Ace Baking Company.
Dean, who lives with his wife Bo in Park City, Utah, and Delray Beach, Florida, is excited to be a part of the campaign and the prospect of reconnecting with NHS alumni and friends.
"I hadn't been back to New Hampton School in 40 years – then I came back for my Reunion,” Dean said. “It was amazing! Seeing the wonderful progression our school has made has inspired me and I want to do my part in making sure the New Hampton School experience continues for generations to come. I look forward to meeting you and hope you'll join me as we GO BEYOND!
