NHS Alum Hired as Head Coach of the Men's Lacrosse Program

Prior to his post at Avon Old Farms, Bartolo was head lacrosse coach at Merrimack College (2006), and assistant lacrosse coach at Dartmouth College (2004-05). From 19998-2002, he was head lacrosse coach at Elmira College, and led the school to its first ever Division III post-season tournament appearance and national ranking. He was an assistant lacrosse coach at Washington College (1995-98) where he helped lead the Shoremen to the 1998 Division III National Championship and runner-up status in both 1996 and 1997. Before his time at Washington College, Governanti served as head lacrosse coach at Maine Maritime Academy (1993-95) and assistant lacrosse coach at Siena College (1993). Bartolo is a 1993 graduate of Siena College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and competed as a midfielder on the men's lacrosse team.
