New Hampton Women’s Lacrosse traveled to Tilton and secured a 21–5 win over the Rams.
The day was filled with first goals and career milestones. Fia Swormstedt ’27 led the way with 5 goals and an assist, surpassing 200 career goals. Ava Perry ’27 and Kristen Vinagro ’28 each scored their first Husky goals, while Tricia Carr ’27 added 3 goals and an assist. Fiona McNamra ’26 found the back of the net for her first goal of the season after transitioning to the defensive unit. Audra Custance ’28, Ireland Stark ’26, and Emilie Poirier ’29 also contributed goals.
Tova Yerardi ’26 was the engine of the offense, creating opportunities and leading the team with 4 assists. Ireland Stark ’26, Cara Kuczek ’26, and Emilie Poirier ’29 each added an assist, as 17 of New Hampton’s 21 goals were assisted.
In the midfield, Emilie Poirier ’29 stepped up with 6 ground balls, matching Swormstedt’s 6. Custance, Stark, and Kaya Farnsworth ’26 each collected 3, contributing to a team total of 31 ground balls. Emma MacPherson ’27 added 2 caused turnovers, anticipating passing lanes and disrupting Tilton’s attack.
In goal, Abby Poole ’27 reached an incredible milestone with her 300th career save.
After a touch schedule last week, the Huskies stayed composed and showcased their team chemistry by creating scoring opportunities for one another. New Hampton hits the road next, traveling to Phillips Exeter for the second-to-last game of the regular season.
