Huskies come up short on senior night
New Hampton Women’s Lacrosse celebrated seven seniors and two managers under the lights in a hard-fought matchup against Holderness. Although the final score did not fall in the Huskies’ favor, the team showed grit and determination, competing with full effort from start to finish.
Tova Yerardi ’26, Ella Zeman ’29, Audra Custance ’28, and Fia Swormstedt ’27 each found the back of the net for New Hampton. The offense adjusted and continued to move the ball, with assists coming from Tricia Carr ’27, Fia Swormstedt ’27, and Kaya Farnsworth ’26.
In goal, Abby Poole ’27 recorded 8 saves, anchoring the defense throughout the contest. Kristen Vinagro ’28 led the team with 3 ground balls, while Swormstedt added 2, contributing on both ends of the field.
Despite the tough loss, the Huskies came away with valuable lessons and a renewed focus as they prepare to make key adjustments heading into the final stretch of the season.
