The Huskies hosted the Brewster Academy Bobcats on Friday evening and were able to come out victorious 9-7.
Keegan Hunt was dominant on the mound and found himself cruising with a 9-0 lead through 4 innings of play. Max Timbrell came in for relief and struggled to find the strike zone. After 2 walks and a hit batter, Jake Cabral was quickly brought in for relief. After recording 2 quick strikeouts, Cabral gave up a double to make the score 9-4. After a New Hampton error and another base hit, the Huskies found themselves with 9-7 lead going into the 6th inning. The Huskies were able to stop the Brewster scoring and ended the game with a 9-7 win.
Offensively, the Huskies were once again led by the hot bat of Ollie Quong who picked up 2 more hits on the season and extended his hit streak to 5 games. Joey Krasowski, George Kavanaugh, and Jake Cabral both had 2 hits on the day as well. The Huskies scored 9 runs on 11 total team hits.
The Huskies look to extend their win streak as they will travel to Brewster for a Saturday game. First pitch will be at Kingswood Regional High School at 2:00 pm.
