Huskies fight to the end, sealing another victory

In a much lower scoring game than the previous match up against Proctor, the Huskies fought to the final whistle to secure the 4'3 win on the road.  Missing each of the centers on the team, the Huskies mixed up the lines with some new combinations and made it work.  Proctor scored first  just one minute into the game before Helen Xu '28 and Callie Paquette '26 responded and put the Huskies in the lead 2-1.  Proctor again tied the game in the second at 2-2 in the back and forth battle.  Paquette netted her second of the game to put the Huskies back on top 3-2 but that was a short lived lead as Proctor again tied the game 3-3 as time was expiring in the second.  In a tight defensive third period, 9th grader Anna Perfield '29 was able to lift a rebound over the shoulder of the Proctor goalie with just under 7 minutes to go in the game for her first goal as a Husky.  As the team focused on playing strong defense and giving junior goalie Sarah Pollard '27 more support, Proctor had several great chances as the clock was winding down.  The Huskies showed great resilience in defending their zone for the last minutes of the game to seal the 4-3 victory on the road.
