New Hampton played their first home game in over 3 weeks and put on a show for the home crowd. Prior to the game, New Hampton recognized Coach Whit Lesure, who tragic passed at the beginning of the new year. Jamie Arsenault shared a few words and we held a moment of silence for coach.
In the first half, the Huskies were a blistering 82% from 3. A lot of their opportunities were created because of their high level defense. We forced Bridgton to take really tough shots and we forced 8 turnovers.
In the second half, it was more of the same. We continued to apply pressure on them defensively, which created great offensive opportunities for us. Everyone scored in the second half and we used the huge team effort to get a 44 point victory vs. previous undefeated in league, Bridgton.
The Huskies had five in double digits: Jayden Harrington (23 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 7/10 from 3), Wesley Waddles (21 points (5/8 from 3), 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 block), James Sanderson (15 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 steal), Edison Onwe (11 points, 3 steals, 2 rebounds, 1 assist), and Chad Cook (11 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block).
