Huskies Beat Wildcats

New Hampton looked to bounce back after a tough loss over the weekend in Springfield. We started a little rough, but after an early timeout, we were able to settle into our offensive and defensive principals. We extended the game out. We asserted ourselves offensively and jumped out to a 23 point lead at halftime.

In the second half, it was much of the same. KUA went on a mini run and dominated us in the paint. New Hampton answered the challenge on that end and Jayden Harrington put an end to the run with a thunderous dunk in transition. New Hampton improved to 11-6 on the season.

The Huskies had four in double digits: Stetson Merritt (18 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assist), Chad Cook (16 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals), Wesley Waddles (14 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals), Jayden Harrinton (13 points, 8 assists, 6 rebounds). Brandyn Clarke also chipped in 7 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
