On a beautiful fall afternoon, the Huskies hosted Brewster Academy on the Kennedy turf for what should have been a competitive NEPSAC matchup. Unfortunately, New Hampton fell 3–0 in a game where we never quite found our rhythm.
While we respect Brewster as an opponent, the result reflected more of our own performance than theirs. From the first whistle, we looked flat—unfocused and lacking the intensity we've shown in recent matches. Despite having the talent and preparation to be the stronger side, we simply didn't show up ready to play, and it cost us.
There were some bright moments late in the match as the team finally began to find its footing. We generated several attacking opportunities through set pieces and corners, but ultimately couldn't convert. Tosin brought great energy throughout the game, anchoring the midfield and defense with tireless effort and smart positioning.
We are grateful to the many fans and community members who came out to support us—it was a strong home showing, and we don't take that for granted. We hope to bounce back with more focus and urgency when we meet Brewster again later this season.
