New Hampton Wins at Tilton
New Hampton took on a strong Tilton side on Wednesday afternoon in a Lakes Region League matchup on the road.
New Hampton started off well with strong pressure on the host team that resulted in a first half goal from Brielle Lee off of an Emma Labrie pass to put the Huskies up 1-0 going into the half.
The Huskies would come out strong in the second half with Ava Perry doubling the score after she finished off a cross from Fia Swormstedt. New Hampton would extend their lead as forward pressure led to a Emma Labrie corner that would deflect in off of a defender to make it 3-0.
With Tilton pushing forward to look to cut New Hampton's lead, an Addy Peel free kick would help extend the lead as she scored from distance for the fourth. Brielle would then score her second of the game off of a pass from Audra Custance that would end the scoring at 5-0.
Casey Stores picked up her first shutout of the season behind strong backline play, with a second half defensive effort led by Gianna Young, Kristen Vinagro, Addy Peel, Avery Lucier, and Libby Dahn.
