Seamus Tully led a tough Husky defense who only let up one score. On the other side of the ball, Isaiah White ran for over 200 yards and 3 scores to put the Huskies out ahead early.
Seamus Tully was a presence in the backfield for opposing Kents Hill School, whose only score was put up early and with short field to navigate. Once the defense settled and had more room to work with, Kents Hill's air attack and quick run game were quickly stiffled.
Adam Enxing calmly led the offense through the opening day jitters and threw for 2 TD's (both to Jordan Collier) and ran in one himself. The explosion of offense, however, came from Isaiah White who averaged more than 29 yards a carry and had 3 scores. White had 204 yards including one 94 yard sprint to the endzone in his Husky debut.
Ian Gobbi made his presence known on special teams with multiple tackles that energized the Husky bench. He also averaged 4 yards a carry on six attempts and punched one into the endzone.
Additionally, Jake Cohen got stats wherever he could, which included: 7 made PAT's, 1 rushing TD, 1 fumble recovery, and had, what appeared to be, an interception but was arguably ruled an incomplete pass.
The Huskies take on an divisional foe in Proctor next Friday night!
