New Hampton Travels to Loon for Lakes Region Qualifying SL
The youth on the New Hampton prep sk team gained valuable exerperience in a Lakes Region SL at Loon hosted by NHS and White Mountain School on Wednesday. Freshman Emily Alperin notched her best SL finish of the year with an 11th place finish, just edging teammate Luisa Gradias by .02 seconds. Sophomore Sarah Tang rounded out the girls scoring in 14th. On the boy's side, sophomores Fedor Volkov and David Musicant were the only finishers, but they each cracked the top 20 in 16th and 17th, respectively.
Unfortunately, a week after losing #2 boy Christian Brenner to a knee injury, the injury bug bit again when #1 Connor Nolan suffered a lower leg injury in a crash. Tge boys will depend on Volkov, Musicant, and junior James Brady in the upcoming Lakes Region GS Championships.
