Three students presented at the Christa McAuliffe Technology Conference this Wednesday to teachers from schools around New England. "Our students are subject area experts," says Hans Mundahl, teacher of the Media Productions class, "so it made sense to have them share their knowledge and ideas about live streaming with other teachers who are interested in this technology."
Kamron "Bo" Vachiraprasith '11, Rebecca Banoff '11, and Meiqi Tian '11 talked about their experience in Media Productions and then let workshop participants through an exercise to create their own live broadcast.
"They were in the teacher role," continued Mundahl, "walking through the workshop participants through the steps of preparing and performing a live broadcast."
The teachers were from schools around New England and are either already doing live streaming of their own, or are considering adding this element into their programs.
