Senior midfielder Ryan Arsenault scored the game winner with two minutes and eight seconds to play in the fourth quarter. The Huskies were led on offense by senior attackman Mark Perroni with four goals, junior attackman Taber Engelken with one goal and four assists, senior midfielder Kevin Driscoll with three goals and two assists, junior attackman Jaren Bernasconi with one goal and one assist and junior midfielder Mike McBournie with one goal. Defensively junior goaltender Dillon Harrington and was stellar in the nets with twelve saves and New Hampton dominated the face-off X, winning seventeen of twenty-one draws. “An enormous win against an outstanding lacrosse school. We took a huge step forward as a program today. I am very proud of the hard work and tenacity of our entire team. Despite losing our top midfielder and face-off man in the first five minutes, we gave maximum effort and improved the execution of our systems and progressions to earn this victory,” Coach Governanti. New Hampton will next face New England North rival Proctor Academy on Wednesday, April 7th at 2:00pm on Kennedy Field in the Huskies home opener.
