Huskies Dominate Whittaker Woods Race

In a hotly contested hand-to-hand battle, the Huskies raced to top podium finishes at Whittaker Woods in North Conway, NH.  Fryeburg Academy hosted their first mountain bike race at this popular race course also used by Kennett High School.  In attendance were Kennett, Fryeburg, Proctor, Hebron and NHS. In a coup, Michael Vinci Germar ('08) raced like a true champion to take the top podium finish in the very competitive Men's B race.  Michael opened his account earlier this year and has consistently finished in the top three podium spots all season.  He is a rider who has grown in strength and maturity and has proven that he is consistently a top contender in the New England Prep League. In another wild ride, freshman Jon Frame hit the big time with an amazing first place finish in the Men's C race!  A talented rider in his first season with a bright future on the bike. Seth Kaiser ('10) fought a a hard won battle and in one of his best-ever rides took second place on the podium beside Jon. NHS hosts the Halloween Classic Mountain Bike Race at home on  Burleigh on Nov. 1st at 3:30pm.
