Brenner, Alperin Lead NHS Finishers at Lakes Region SL Champs
Freshman Christian Brenner's 15th-place finish lead the Huskies skiers at the Lakes Region Slalom Championships on Wednesday. Brenner skied two solid runs down Proctor's Blackwater Mountain, registering his best result of the season. Also notching a season-best finish was junior James Brady, who, despite losing his grip on his pole half way down his second run, finished 41st in a field of the Lakes Region school's best racers. Sophomore David Musicant completed the team scoring in 47th.
Freshman Emily Alperin's strongest results have been in GS this year, but she scored her best slalom result of the season, placing 38th as the top NHS female finisher. Sophomore Luisa Gradias was close behind in 40th, and fellow sophomore Sarah Tang, showing excellent improvement in her slalom over the course of the season, finished 43rd.
