Kyle Farrell has efficient outing on the mound and Hayden Weeks sparks the offense with an early grand slam.
The New Hampton Huskies defeated the Tilton Rams 13-3 on Monday evening at Gnerre Field improving their record to 6-1 on the season.
Junior Kyle Farrell got his first career start on the mound for the Huskies and was very efficient. Kyle pitched 5 innings, allowing 7 hits, 1 earned run, and struck out 4 Tilton batters. Kyle was sharp and pounded the strike zone throwing 64% strikes.
The Huskies continued to swing hot bats and came out of the gates on fire in the first inning. The Huskies scored 10 runs in the inning highlighted by a Hayden Weeks grand slam. On the day, the Huskies scored 13 runs on 11 hits. Hayden went 2 for 2 on the day with 4 rbi's and 2 walks. Kieran McNamara went 3 for 4 with 4 rbi's. Finn Glidden went 2 for 2 on the day as well.
The Huskies will be back in action on Wednesday when they host Kimball Union Academy. First pitch is at 4:00 pm at Gnerre Field.
