In a very well played Lakes Region League contest against a young but talented Kimball Union Academy team, New Hampton was able to come away with another league win.
The Huskies traveled to Meriden, NH to take on the Wildcats of Kimball Union Academy.  The contest saw Dom Petkus get his first innings of the year on the mound.  Dom was sharp early and ended the day pitching 2 2/3 innings, allowing 6 hits, 3 runs, and struck out 2 batters.  Sophomore, Griffin Taylor came in for relief and pitched great.  Griffin pitched 3 2/3 innings, allowing just 1 hit, 0 runs, and struck out 7 batters, while walking just one KUA batter.  Finn Glidden came in to close out the game for the Huskies.

Offensively, the Husky bats are beginning to wake up.  The offense was led by the bottom of the order.  Hayden Weeks collected 2 hits on the day and Griffin Taylor also collected 2 hits - one being his 1st career hit as a New Hampton Husky.  As a team, the Huskies had 7 runs on 7 hits for the day.

New Hampton will travel to Tilton School on Friday for their next league game.  First pitch is at 4:30 pm.
