New Hampton capitalizes on Proctor miscues.

In the first game of the season, the Huskies were able to hold off the Proctor Hornets and came away with a 7-2 victory.  New Hampton was led by the strong pitching of Kieran McNamara and Finn Glidden.
After a long winter season, the Huskies were finally able to take the field in a league contest against their neighbors from Proctor Academy.  Kieran McNamara started the game on the mound for New Hampton and went 3 innings and gave up 2 hits, 0 earned runs, and stuck out 3 batters.  Finn Glidden pitched the final 4 innings allowing 1 earned run and struck out 7 batters.  

The Huskies took advantage of an early 1st inning miscue by Proctor and was able to get on the board 1-0. The Huskies also capitalized on 11 walks and were able to extend the lead to 4-0 after the 3rd.  New Hampton was able to maintain the lead and came away with a 7-2 victory.

New Hampton will travel to Kimball Union Academy on April 17th for their next league contest.
