MERIDEN, NH -

The huskies were back on the road for their final regular season matchup against Lakes Region rival, KUA. The huskies started off very strong, dominating KUA in their zone. Izzy Prentiss '24 opened the scoring with a quick rocket from the point to give the huskies a 1-0 lead. Shortly after, Katie Usilton '26 added to the lead, giving the huskies a 2-0 lead. True Thompson '25 was the next husky to score, on a delayed penalty as well, allowing the huskies to get a power play immediately following the goal. The huskies did capitalize on their power play, with a beautiful finish from Kennedy Walker '25, giving the huskies a commanding 4-0 lead going into the second. The second period was all KUA, as the huskies let up on the gas. KUA scored their only goal of the game on a defensive mistake by the huskies. KUA was unable to capitalize on additional mistakes by the huskies , keeping the score at 4-1. The huskies picked it up in the third, getting back to their dominance in the KUA zone. Caroline Thomas '25 added to the husky lead, giving the girls a nice 5-1 cushion to play with. The rest of the third was back and forth, but no one was able to add to the score. The huskies came out with the win, giving head coach Craig Churchill his 250th win behind the bench. A well-deserved honor for Craig!
