New Hampton Falls Short To SPS in Overtime

The Huskies lined up with the Saint Paul's Pelicans at The Jacobson Arena for the final game of the season. At the start of the first period, the Huskies would get some offensive chances but would struggle to get pucks to the net. By the end of the first, they would find themselves down 2-0. However, into the second period, Cooper Simmons would be the Husky to get his team on the board making it 2-1 SPS. James DeBenedictis would later net a puck after receiving a pass from Jacob Resnick, the second period would end with SPS up 3-2. In the third period, the floodgates would open up for both teams as Chase Fitch would earn a hat trick and Jacob Resnick would score putting the Huskies up 6-4. The Pelicans would respond late in the third tying the game 6-6 and using their momentum to take the win in overtime with a 7-6 SPS final.
