Huskies Rally Past Lakes' Region Opponent

NEW HAMPTON, NH - 

The huskies were back at home for the final time in the regular season in a Lakes' Region matchup against Proctor Academy. The huskies started off strong, holding possession in the Proctor zone, however, the huskies struggled to get shots off. Proctor was able to get a couple shots off in the first, but goaltender Vera Lee '24 had an answer for each shot on goal. Caroline Thomas '25 opened the scoring for the huskies, with a goal from Taylor Settles '24 following shortly after, giving the huskies a 2-0 lead going into the second. The huskies came out harder in the second, doubling their shot total from the first. Proctor couldn't handle the husky pressure, and Katie Usilton '26 added to the husky lead, making it 3-0. Vera Lee '24 continued to steer away any chances that Proctor had, keeping them off the board heading into the third. The huskies continued their dominance in the Proctor zone for the third. Goaltender Cara Kuczek '26 started third period in goal for the huskies. Julia Loughlin '24 notched another goal for the huskies, taking a commanding 4-0 lead. The huskies had a little bit of a lull defensively, giving up a couple breakaways. The breakaway chances tested husky goaltender Cara Kuczek '26 who made some big saves to preserve the combined shutout. Ella Fischetti '27 notched her first career goal as a husky to add to the husky lead. 5-0 win for the huskies!
