Thompson's '25 Hat Trick Lifts Huskies Past Brewster

NEW HAMPTON, NH -

The huskies were back at home for a Lakes' Region matchup against Brewster Academy. The huskies also celebrated their 5 seniors during this game. The huskies started off strong and dominated Brewster in their zone. True Thompson '25 scored her first of the game, going end to end, to give the huskies a 1-0 lead, and then a 2-0 lead. The period continued to be all huskies but could not add to their lead. The second period started off strong as well, with Kelsey Baker '26 adding to the huskies lead to make it 3-0. The huskies continued to roll, however penalties against New Hampton started to change the momentum of the game. Two 5-on-3s in a row cost the huskies and Brewster was able to make it 3-2. Not for long, however, as True Thompson '25 finished off her hat trick to bring the score to 4-2 going into the third. The third was pretty back and forth, but the huskies couldn't finish on their opportunities. Goaltender Vera Lee '24 made some big saves to keep the huskies on top to preserve a 4-2 win.
