Huskies Fall to Lakes' Region Rival

CONCORD, NH - 

The huskies took a short trip down to face-off against Lakes' Region rival, St. Paul's. The huskies were excited to play and came ready to battle. They started off strong, dominated St. Paul's in the offensive zone, but their goalie had an answer for every shot faced in the first. Goaltender Vera Lee '24 made some big saves on the few shots St. Paul's gave her. 0-0 after the first. Both teams came out strong in the second. St. Paul's were definitely a better team in the second, but the huskies continued to dominate the shots. But, again, the St. Paul's goaltender made some big saves to keep the huskies at bay. Vera Klee '24 also continued to make some big saves at key moments to keep St. Paul's off the board. 0-0 heading into the third. The third period might have been the best period for both teams, as it was pretty back and forth. Both teams had their fair share of chances, but the goalies continued to dominate the game, keeping the score at 0. The huskies had more chances than St. Pauls, and more zone time, however St. Paul's had a lucky break off a screened shot to take the lead 1-0 with just under 4 minutes to play. The huskies fought hard right up until the buzzer, but came up short in the comeback. 1-0 final.
