Huskies Fall to a Strong Andover Team 4-2

ANDOVER MA -

The huskies travelled down to MA to face off against a strong NEPSAC team, Andover Academy. Both teams seemed excited to play, and both started the game off strong. The huskies were rewarded a power play early in the first period. However, Andover capitalized on a husky mistake to take a 1-0 lead with a shorthanded goal. Shortly after their go ahead goal, they added to their lead to make it 2-0. The huskies fought back but could not hold Andover back was they took a 3-0 lead going into the second. Both teams again came out hard in the second and continued to battle. The huskies had their chances but could not solve the Andover goalie. Andover again capitalized on a defensive zone breakdown, making it a 4-0 game going into the third. The huskies would not quit, however. They battled hard to cut the lead in half, with Caroline Thomas '25 and Julia Loughlin '24 as the goal scorers. However, the huskies came up short in their effort to tie the game in the final minutes. 4-2 final.
