Huskies Dominate Vermont Academy

NEW HAMPTON, NH -

The huskies were happy to be back at home for a Lakes Region Matchup against Vermont Academy (VA). The huskies came out strong, dominating the offensive zone. VA struggled to get the puck out of their zone, but their goalie kept them in the game with some big time stops. VA only had one shot on goal in the first period, and goaltender Vera Lee '24 was able to keep out of the net. 0-0 going into the second. The huskies continued to dominate the offensive zone with possession, but the VA goalie continued to have an answer for each shot. It wasn't until midway through the second that the huskies got a lucky break, going down 2-on-1 on the VA defender. Taylor Settles '24 shot the puck with a perfectly placed shot to give Reagan Comora '25 a perfect rebound opportunity, in which she tapped it in, giving the huskies a 1-0 lead going into the third. The third was a little more back and forth with physicality. Kayleigh Michaud-Nolan '25 and Kennedy Walker '25 added to the huskies lead, making it 3-0. Husky goaltender Vera Lee '24 kept the shots she faced out of the net, to extend her shutout streak to two games.
