Deerfield Skates Past Huskies
DEERFIELD, MA -
The huskies were on the road for their second matchup against Deerfield Academy. The huskies wanted to avenge their 1-0 loss to Deerfield from earlier on in the season. Both teams came out hard and played a fast, and physical game. However, after two husky penalties, Deerfield was able to capitalize, taking a 1-0 lead going into the second. The huskies started the second off strong as they worked to try and tie the game. Izzy Prentiss 24' put the huskies on the board with a beautiful shot from the point, tying the game at 1-1. Shortly after, Kennedy Walker '25 scored the huskies' go ahead goal to take a 2-1 lead going into the third. However, the huskies could not hold Deerfield off the board, as they came out hard for the third, scoring 3 unanswered goals. 4-2 final.
