Defensive Battle on the Road

Women's JV Hockey took on Dexter Southfield in the first round at the St. Paul's Invitational on Saturday afternoon.  In a tight defensive battle that saw goalie Sarah Pollard '27 making multiple noteworthy saves, the Huskies came up just short and fell 0-2.  Dexter had a deep bench that kept their legs fresh throughout the game, but the Huskies defense, consisting of Moriah Smith '24, Izzy Church '25, Riley Proulx '26 and Roberta Scott '27, battle hard in our defensive zone, blocking shots, making key takeaways and keeping the Huskies in the game until the end.  Our offense, led by Eva Thirion '24 and Eva Adams '25 had several chances to even the game, but were stopped by an impressive Dexter goalie.  Overall, it was a solid team effort with the Huskies showing huge improvements each time they step onto the ice. Congrats to Sarah Pollard '27 and Eva Thirion '24 for earning Husky of the Game for their performance in both games.
