Huskies Fall in NEPSAC Rematch with Groton
ASHBURNHAM, MA -
The huskies started the game by dominating the offensive zone against Groton. The huskies could not capitalize on their chances, but kept fighting. Goaltender Vera Lee '26 kept the huskies in the game by making some big saves in the first. Penalties were the huskies crutch, as two back to back 5-on-3s killed the momentum, allowing Groton to take a 1-0 lead heading in to the second. The huskies started the second off well and got a few power play chances. The Groton goaltender kept the puck out of the net. The rest of the second was back and forth, but both goaltenders kept the puck out of the net, keeping the score at 1-0 heading into the third. The huskies started the third strong, but, again, could not capitalize on their chances. Groton scored twice in the third, resulting in a 3-0 loss for the huskies.
