Loss in Final Game of Cushing Tournament
ASHBURNHAM, MA -
The huskies started the game a little slow in the first. Goaltender Vera Lee '24 kept the girls in the game, not allowing a goal in the period. The second period was a better start for the huskies, but were unable to capitalize on their chances. Vera Lee continued to keep the puck out of the net, keeping the score at 0-0 heading into the third. The huskies battled hard in the third but the Deerfield goaltender kept the huskies off the board. An unfortunate bounce led to Deerfield scoring with just under 5 minutes to play, taking a 1-0 lead. The huskies battled hard to tie it, but were unable to capitalize. 1-0 loss to end the tournament.
