Huskies Get Revenge Against NMH

DEDHAM, MA –

The Huskies started off strong in the first quarter with help on the offensive end from Tahlia Peña ’25 and Adriana Hernandez ’25 from the three-point line. Defensively Kitt Jones ’25 once again made great plays, shutting down NMH’s best player and grabbing defensive rebounds to start the Huskies' transition offense. Abby Schrader ’27 and Ava Perry ’27 were active on both ends of the floor, especially on defense, forcing NMH to take difficult shots. Martina Pike ’24 came off the bench in the second quarter boxing out hard and knocking down open shots on the offensive end. Half time score: New Hampton 23, NMH 16. NMH went on a run in the third, cutting NHS's lead to six points. But Elyse Ngenda ’26 and Ne'vaeh Buntley '24 made some great plays offensively to stop NMH’s momentum. In the fourth quarter, the Huskies made the right plays offensively and limited NMH to just one shot securing the win against a solid Class AA team. It was a strong defensive effort for the Huskies. Final score: 44 – 33.
