Come Back Tie in Season Opener at Home
NEW HAMPTON, NH -
The huskies started off strong in their season opener at home against Nobles. The first period was back and forth, with Nobles taking a 1-0 lead into the second. Nobles started the second period hard and ultimately added to their lead, making it 2-0. The huskies battled back, and Kelsey Baker '26 notched her first goal of the season, cutting the lead in half and making it 2-1 going into the third. The huskies came out strong in the third and battled hard to tie it up. Emma Macpherson '27 notched her first goal as a husky to tie the game. Goaltender Vera Lee '24 made 6 saves in the third to keep the game tied. Both teams battled hard in OT, but no one was able to capitalize, resulting in a 2-2 tie after OT.
